'Uncanny Counter' Season 2: Original Counters To Return

Fans of "Uncanny Counter" have good news! Yoo Jun Sang, Jo Byung Gyu, Kim Sejeong, and Yum Hye Ran are all part of the original cast of OCN's record-breaking drama, which was revealed by Sports Donga on June 27.

The popular action series has recently accelerated planning for its much anticipated Season 2, which premieres in January 2021. Additionally, the production had high hopes for the return of the original cast, which is now a given. The cast was also being expanded, so the team went casting.

The drama was highly popular and was even evaluated as a new "Korean Hero Drama" during its run. In response, the production team, including director Yoo Sun Dong, decided to expand the drama into a new season just months after Season 1 concluded.

The series has been developed since the first season's ending and is based on the webtoon of the same name that is serialised under the author's name Jang Yi.

Kim Hieora Joins 'Uncanny Counter' Cast

The "Uncanny Counter" team is devoted to casting new stars who will be significant to the story. Kim Hieora, who starred in the action-comedy series "Bad and Crazy," is confirmed as an additional cast member.

She made her acting debut in a musical production in 2009, and in 2021, JTBC's "Beyond Evil" marked her first small-screen performance.

Additionally, Kim Hieora appeared in "Hospital Playlist" and "Forecasting Love and Weather" in cameo roles.

The production is also open to casting new actors and actresses to highlight new skills and engage audiences.

Uncanny Counter  Season 2 Postpones Filming

Due to Jo Byung Gyu and Kim Sejeong's demanding drama commitments, the filming was delayed until the fall. Immediately after appearing in Season 1 of "Uncanny Counter," the two were cast in projects.

The two actors' current drama projects are slated to wrap up before the production picks back up.

After "Business Proposal," Kim Sejeong will make a comeback with "Today's Webtoon," another webtoon-based drama that will debut in July. Both a new drama and a movie directed by Jo Byung Gyu are slated to be released this year.
